Messed up NPC's... - Nean - 20-09-2008 So I can't attack NPC's, and they wont' attack me. For example, I have a NPC named bob. Bob says rawr (For testing purposes), and he comes to me, (I have level 0 access), and then just stands facing me, but doesn't attack me. When I push CTRL, it animates the attack, but doesn't say I hit him, or doesn't say he took damage, or I took damage. I don't recall messing with NPC's, so I don't know what this could possibly be from. Re: Messed up NPC's... - Rian - 20-09-2008 You've probably messed up a packet dealing with NPCs somewhere. What all have you done regarding NPCs lately? Re: Messed up NPC's... - Mattyw - 20-09-2008 Same issue. 3.53. Done nothing to NPC's except hover over name & stop name going off map. I remember having this issue on a vanilla 3.51. Re: Messed up NPC's... - Anthony - 20-09-2008 If the NPC stats are all at 0 then the attack won't go through. Check that maybe? I was trying to do the visual inventory, and I messed something up. But I made a backup before trying that. Yeah, it was definitely a packet, because when I tried to login it was giving me these stupid errors. Anyways, I just restored a backup, so this topic can be locked. Re: Messed up NPC's... - Rian - 20-09-2008 Done, and trashed. [edit] Eh, I'll let MS4 mods decide what to do with it ![]() Re: Messed up NPC's... - Nean - 20-09-2008 DFA Wrote:nobody else has seemed to have problems with NPCs Yeah, I know. It was a n00bish problem, I created. I fixed it by restoring a backup. As suggested, I screwed up an NPC packet. Re: Messed up NPC's... - Nean - 20-09-2008 DFA Wrote:its how we learn, we all made mistakes, unless you are robin xD Yeah, I've had to reinstall MS4 like six times now, before I just started making backups.. |
