Re: Why don't you want to share your stuff? - Jacob - 20-09-2008 I think you are 100% correct. Re: Why don't you want to share your stuff? - Robin - 20-09-2008 Rofl. Release all your code as public domain, like me. Means people can do whatever the fuck they want with it, and you have no ties to it. Might seem like people can just rip off your game, but if they're taking your code in the first place, you know deep down that there game won't be half as good as yours. Re: Why don't you want to share your stuff? - Nean - 20-09-2008 A lot of the time, I don't release code, I create because it's so n00bish, I'll probably get made fun of, and others probably won't use it. ![]() Re: Why don't you want to share your stuff? - Anarchy - 20-09-2008 Lea Wrote:I get asked for help with things quite often. One thing that really bugs me is when people refuse to post ideas or source code on the forums for help. Re: Why don't you want to share your stuff? - Robin - 20-09-2008 I don't make fun of people for not knowing how to code. If you act like a retard, or just don't try and learn then I'll dislike you, but never make fun. Re: Why don't you want to share your stuff? - Xlithan - 24-09-2008 Look what happened when Konfuze source code was released. Re: Why don't you want to share your stuff? - Nean - 24-09-2008 I'ma be releasing my n00b tuts, that I developed when I was first beginning. The code isn't great, and the ideas are usually rips, but they work. Just saying that we can't tell you whats wrong if all you're gonna post is a parse from a packet. It's too late at night/early in the morning for me to even be awake at this point, so I'll at least point you in the right direction. Have a check for all players currently online who aren't the recently-married ones. (Possibly a temporary stat value or an array of sort to keep those two safe.) Once the server has all the names, take a leaf from the /kill command tutorial and write it up to where it handles the function for everyone else, as opposed to just a single target. Re: Why don't you want to share your stuff? - Pbcrazy - 24-02-2009 a for loop ![]() just loop through all players, if online AND not recently married, kill. but then again, i don't know hardly anything about the MS source  |
