Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - Labmonkey - 27-07-2008 lol dave. The event is currently in 15 minutes. Quote:Engine: ED3 ![]() And as for essence, that is for aerian, the main game roda and I are making, but we are waiting for a more stable version of essence before we start. So to pass the time we put up roda's old ed game, which is this, which is still very fun. Everyone come on in 10 minutes for the event please! Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - Robin - 27-07-2008 Labmonkey Wrote:lol dave. More stable? Are you fucking retarded? You're just waiting for Dx8 with everyone else. Essence is very stable, you just need to sort through the code to your liking and system capabilities. Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - GIAKEN - 27-07-2008 Solara isn't using Elysium it's using a pre-released version of Asphodel I sent him. Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - Robin - 27-07-2008 Harold, you don't need to punish the engine with such a bad name just because your mother did it to you xD Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - GIAKEN - 27-07-2008 ![]() Well basically he's my bitch because he's going to be reporting bugs so I won't have to find them. ![]() Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - Labmonkey - 27-07-2008 robin by more stable i meant less bugs with map editor etc. Not being able to map kind of ruins the game. anyway, the event is starting! Instead of just using the original method already IN base MS. It's used for the account editor so you won't edit people that are online. Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - Matt - 29-07-2008 It's still dumb. You shouldn't edit people's accounts, unless you back them up first. Or if you do edit the account, send a packet with all the new shit. ![]() It's easy. Why do things the hard way? Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - GIAKEN - 29-07-2008 What? I made an account editor so it would be more noob-friendly. If people need to edit the strength of a hacker or set somebody's access up or whatever then they have the easy ability to do so. I could set up a winsock system, but that'd make things even harder. So: Perfekt Wrote:Why do things the hard way? Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - Matt - 29-07-2008 All you'd have to do, is build the account editor into the server. Take a look at MSE2, it has a listbox that lists the players. Add to the right click menu, "Edit Account". Open that up, do your thing, and send a packet to the player and the map the player is on. Then on the client, just have it update. You're doing shit the hard way. Seriously. Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - GIAKEN - 29-07-2008 No I took out the server console because of all of the controls it was using up memory. So I made an account editor that wasn't compiled with the server so all the server is is just a server. Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - Matt - 29-07-2008 You're still using ini files. Notepad is an account editor for your engine. Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - GIAKEN - 29-07-2008 Yeah but sometimes people are too newb to use it. Just making things more noob-friendly for people and it's really pointless to argue against it since it wasn't hard to make at all and it's not affecting you so I don't know what the problem is. Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - Matt - 29-07-2008 Oh I'm sorry. I didn't know you were gettin' upset about it. I also apologize that you care. I brought it up, because I did. Simple as that. It may not be affecting me any, but who cares? I don't. You don't belong in a game development/programming community if you can't take crit and ideas. Wtf are you doing here? Go find a hello kitty forum. Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - GIAKEN - 29-07-2008 ![]() I definitely see signs of hostility in my posting? Not. Re: Solara Online (use to be solar chronicles.) - Matt - 29-07-2008 I definitely see signs of me not caring in my posting. Still.
