Pixel art - Robin - 10-07-2008 Made my first piece of pixel art the other day, and I've been doing various things since. Just trying to sort out a style atm, and get some palettes sorted. Here's my first tile xD Sprite's are from FFTA for a mockup test. ![]() Re: Pixel art - GIAKEN - 10-07-2008 Oh wow that's nice...are you doing an iso game? Re: Pixel art - Labmonkey - 10-07-2008 you need another tile on the cliffs so you can make cliffs that are more then 1 tile high... Re: Pixel art - Robin - 10-07-2008 Possibly. I'll be doing something unique graphically for the project. It'll be done using Essence, and it'll go under the Winds Whisper title. Labmonkey, it's just me testing out style and colours, as I said. Re: Pixel art - Labmonkey - 10-07-2008 ohhh.... I wanted to steal your gfx ![]() Re: Pixel art - Robin - 10-07-2008 Why would you steal these? xD Re: Pixel art - Rory - 11-07-2008 o.o.. I always wanted to make an Isometric Tactics game, which sprites did you make? ![]() Re: Pixel art - Robin - 11-07-2008 Yup. Re: Pixel art - Rory - 11-07-2008 You're sexy ![]() Re: Pixel art - Anarchy - 12-07-2008 OH GOD, NOT ANOTHER ONE! Lol, good job robin, havent seen a good iso game in ages. Re: Pixel art - Robin - 12-07-2008 Not another what, game? If I do get alright at pixel art I'll simply use it in Winds Whisper, my existing project. Re: Pixel art - Vans - 13-07-2008 Its great for being your first piece, I would only change the outline in the rocks, adding a bit more of rock texture, and change the grass a little bit, it looks like a bubbling soup or something inside the hill. Re: Pixel art - seraphelic - 17-07-2008 I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a standard to iso tiles, sortof like how the mmo standard tends to be 32 by 32. Re: Pixel art - Robin - 17-07-2008 Iso is generally 1:2 in a 16x32 quadrangle. |
