QuadChat v2.0.0!!! - Pbcrazy - 27-05-2008 Ok people v2.0.0 is now released!!! there have been several changes to it and i hope youll like them. Features(already programmed): V1.2.7: Multi Client(finally got that working) Changeable text color, size, bold, italic, etc. Nicknames easily change the Servers IP and port on the client custom GUI (credits to Beres) V1.2.8 All options are now saved as soon as you change them colors are now sent to other clients makes it easier to tell between whos who V2.0.0-NEW!!! Accounts Server now can set a MaxConnection Users can also findout whos on by typing /online Added a Login form Remember me is working If the chat is minimized and somebody types something, a lil tone will play. Future Features ![]() avatars able to select a server from a list Friends list w/ private chat like msn, yahoo, aim offline messages server logs thats all i have for now. heres the download link. http://files.filefront.com/QuadChat+V20zip/;10496837;/fileinfo.html WARNING: Versions are not backwards compatiable!!! heres some screenies: Client ![]() Login ![]() server ![]() Directions: you all should now that you need to run the server first. then go to the client and click on options and after everything is to how you want it click save. now it should be connected to the server. if you find any bugs or have any problems please post here. Re: QuadChat v1.2.7 - Yoshiko - 28-05-2008 I would recommend save the current version for future, even if you do a *newer* and "better" version, because it seems to be a simple program, thing that uses lots of people when working on proyects and just cant be bothered with complexfull chatting programs. Also ive been working on it, and ive added a popup feature, where if the client has any data arrive it will pop up in front of you, and you can turn it off so you dont become annoyed with it. and it also now saves the last nickname,IP, color, and all that stuff. i think next part is accounts, or trying to find someway to display all people online without having accounts. (as soon as i fix a couple bugs XD) as a side note. ive been reading up on directx 7 and im thinking about reprogramming QC from winsock to directplay. if you have any thoughts about this please tell me.
