Re: Wireless router help? - Spodi - 26-02-2008 Why would you use your public IP? That makes no sense at all. A router accepts one connection and splits it up between multiple other connections, allowing them to share the resource. Forwarding a port tells the router that a connection from the external port from the outside world, coming into this router, should go to this device (defined by the internal IP usually) to this port. So find out your internal address, put that as the private IP (starts with 192.168.2. in your case, which is what the page filled out for you), the port you're using (probably same for both) then click enable. |
