vista premium and vb6 - Becoming - 13-12-2007 when im installing vb6 it warns that it does not work. is there anyway for it to work or are vista users stuck waiting for the next vb ? i heard the new version is on visual studio 2008 Re: vista premium and vb6 - Matt - 13-12-2007 There is no new version of VB. Anything new, is .net. It WILL work on Vista. I use it all the time. Re: vista premium and vb6 - Leighland - 15-12-2007 i've installed it on a vista laptop but soon realized thats its performance on that computer versus my snuggly xp desktop is just poor, to say the least ![]() Re: vista premium and vb6 - Rezeyu - 15-12-2007 I don't have any difference between VB6 on Vista than I did on XP, other than it runs faster on Vista of course. Re: vista premium and vb6 - Leighland - 15-12-2007 Perhaps it's just the laptop's fault but for me personally, vb6 runs about half the speed on that computer with vista than it does on the xp computer. It's very apparent when I'm creating objects and moving them around the forms... it "lags" I guess you could say. But again, just might be the laptop fubaring it :S Re: vista premium and vb6 - Matt - 15-12-2007 Disable desktop composition when you run VB. Problem solved. |
