07.16.2005 - Mirage Source Engine - Build 1 - Becoming - 20-10-2007

im using this version.

07.16.2005 - Mirage Source Engine - Build 1
Fixes/Additions:
001. NOTE. First public release!

when a second player trys to connect he gets stuck at the sending data, this is an issue if there is 1 player connected to the server.
was there a bug in this version ? ive though about changing it to iocp, would that perhaps fix the problem since i would be changing the connection system ?
Thx

Re: 07.16.2005 - Mirage Source Engine - Build 1 - Becoming - 20-10-2007

why would binary npcs, spells, items etc kill it ? that has nothing to do with the connection system.

Re: 07.16.2005 - Mirage Source Engine - Build 1 - Becoming - 20-10-2007

nope, it hasnt worked since i downloaded it. everyone gets stuck at the recieving game if 1 person is already online.

I started with Big Reds Optimized Version.

Is this one person on the localhost? If so have you tried a user that is outside your machine? Make sure your ports are open.

yep, ports are open and forwarding.

Re: 07.16.2005 - Mirage Source Engine - Build 1 - Anthony - 20-10-2007

I would suggest downloading the MSE source and add nothing, ensure your IP addresses are correct and ports are forwarding properly and test it. If it works then you know something is wrong with your code, if not then something is wrong with your computer, router or possibly even your ISP.

My build one never hung with multiple connections.

And when I tried big red's tut, my source never worked again.
