My friend gets this error when he opens my client.

Ive given him the libraryfiles, doesnt work.

He tried:
Quote:You have to do 3 things:
1.) Set your color to 16 bit.
2.) Start > Run > Regsvr32.exe Dao350.dll.
3.) Start > Run > Regsvr32.exe dx7vb.dll.
Doesnt work.

And I gave him vb runtime files, doesnt work. But perhaps I got the wrong runtime files, so please url me.

if you have any other ideas, feel free to say them.

Well, that might be pretty hard to figure out, but I'll go through my components and give him a file for each.

Edit. He just told me he has Vista, any new ideas?

Re: run time error 429 - Rezeyu - 01-09-2007

Most Vista people get RTE429, even if they have DX7, use Perfekt's tut for it.

Although it didn't fix it for me, my computer wouldn't register them properly.

Where can I get this tut?

Maybe it's verrigan bmp files. Tell them to register that dlls.

Re: run time error 429 - Matt - 01-09-2007

It's the dx7vb.dll file. You can't register it via the run box. Have to do it the hard way, including making sure UAC is OFF.
