I think I'll go with the left, its more suitable overall. But I dunno:

Also noticed that the wooden part on one tree is grained, should I have it like that?

If you are gonna use those vivid color u should also modify the sprites colors

Thats what I thought, if I change one thing I'd gotta adjust everything. I'll keep the old grass but I'll go with the new tree.

Well you'd better get used to it, cause it will be long before I decide to remake my trees again.

They never really look like normal trees. Your new ones, look like ghetto palm trees. xD

Thats fine as a base.. but you need shoots of grass on the mask layer everywhere so its less flat imo
