- Matt - 31-05-2006

How about..

-Advertizing
. Games
----> Games Gallery
. Engines
----> Engines Gallery

Something like that maybe?

- Andrew - 31-05-2006

why would you have a game gallery? the gallery is for graphics

- William - 31-05-2006

I edited my first post how I think it should be, together with Missunderstoods post. I believe the list is pretty much completed.

- Misunderstood - 31-05-2006

What type of things would go in 'Advanced Programing' william?

Ohh we also need a ports forum, just one, seeing as eventually there will be a C++ server by grim and hopefully a java client by me xD...hopefully xD

- Granite - 31-05-2006

good idea guys keep discussing this I will love over it when i get my admin status and set something up for ya this way.

The help board would be pretty simple things, for noobies and such.

Advanced programming, would be more indept, disussions about optimization. Needing help on difficult features. Maybe it can be in just one board, but its easier to seperate those two.

Simple and Hard questions.

ps. Added ports to it.

well I would think some of that 'advanced programing' stuff would fit under general chat, I mean, if that wouldnt fit, what would?

- William - 31-05-2006

Yeah thats true. Advanced Programming removed.

- funkynut - 31-05-2006

Yea, I quite like misunderstoods and williams ideas, about how the forums should be set up

- Matt - 31-05-2006

A games gallery would be strictly for posting screen shots of your game, gui, gfx and what not, where as the engine one, would be for posting stuff about an engine you have. I dunno, just a suggestion.

Wouldn't you just put that in either your game/engines thread or the general gallery forum then? I dunno if both forums are really needed.

- William - 01-06-2006

Edited the list some more. I added a Downloads board, and also a Run Time Error board.Should we keep them?

- Matt - 01-06-2006

I guess, I dunno. Lol.

- Obsidian - 01-06-2006

Well. The only thing i really notice off-hand is that i didn't see a place to download MSE. Most of us already have it somewhere, but people new to the forums may have a hard time finding it for download.

- William - 01-06-2006

Yeah, thats why we should have a Download board.

- Misunderstood - 01-06-2006

I dunno bout a forum just for runtime errors, couldnt that just go in the bug fixes section? or trouble shoot?

- William - 01-06-2006

But the Bug Fixes are for source code errors, from a unedited MSE.
Rune Time Errors is for the errors that you enconter during coding.

It could go in the help board thought. I listen to you then, first port edited again Tongue

I emailed Shan about just a Vb forums unrelated to mirage.. I believe it would be quite useful for when we might be coding anything unrelated to mirage.. Oh, and Williams layout seems pretty perfect to me..

- grimsk8ter11 - 03-06-2006

Ya, I agree his alyout is pretty solid mix of all the ideas.
