Inactive Project Removal, & Forum Reorganization - Cruzn - 14-08-2007 Just my thoughts since the "forums may be cluttered" posts. =P This should make the forum page shorter and a bit easier to navigate and check for new posts, etc. ---- First, I recommend reviewing the Sub-Forum boards and consider some for deletion: Project Sub-Forums with little-to-no recent activity Quote:Ryodan Saga - Wed Jun 13, 2007 2:29 am Project Sub-Forums with no posts. (Although, they are recently added.) Quote:Pokemon: Den of AgesI also suggest adding a 25 posts minimum for offering sub-forums, help keep the area clean. Second, I recommend moving all posts below "Ryodan Saga" in the Games & Engines section to the trash forum (so that they can be referenced later by their owners.); these are all dead projects (or at least they are on these forums.) Technical Assistance -> Have it's sub-forums removed and kept as one universal forum for bugs, questions, and errors. Non-MS Products -> Be removed. Out of 65 topics, only 4 or 5 projects have been released or have a chance of being released. Not very efficient. MS Architect -> Be moved under General Chit Chat as it is a Mirage Source project just like MSE2 or MSE1. Help Wanted & Looking for a Job -> Be moved under the Projects category. Buying/Selling -> Be removed; users can post under "Help Wanted." ---- Suggestions of your own? Re: Inactive Project Removal, & Forum Reorganization - William - 14-08-2007 How many here actually think there are too many sub forums and boards? I think it's fine the way it is now. 1 thing is that a project board should not be removed before a long time. Even if there are no posts in it, it doesnt mean the project isn't still in progress. We all know how long time it takes to get good things in it. We could merge Technical Assistance boards into one. But why really? It doesnt take up more place, there are just 3 extra urls on the board. The help wanted and buying and selling could be combined into one. But you should all remember how the old ms forum was. There where more boards than twice the size of the current forum. And you guys liked it. And you didnt like the idea of making the forums smaller. And now you want it even smaller. I was just thinking about what people said about the sub-forums things and I supposed that it could make it much easier if there were less categories + sub-forums. Probably the easiest setup I see is: [spoiler]Announcements
