MS Architect - William - 11-08-2007

(hmm, wonder were I got the idea of architect..Wink )

What do you guys think about having a compilled and open source engine. It would be something for those who dont know much visual basic programming here. It would only have the things needed and it will always be open source so when the users of the compilled feel they are ready. They can just move their maps and items and such to the source and start working on their own.

It might bring some fresh life into the community. I know many here are like, wtf no noobs... quid it. Its good to have a big wide community.

And this would only take up 1 board Tongue

Probably it will work, I voted perhaps. Try it ^^

I've had some people recently on msn asking for a simple engine that will do the job. A stable secure one.

Re: MS Architect - Robin - 11-08-2007

Mirage isn't secure.

What?

Default mirage is not secure.

And what does that have to do with this?

Re: MS Architect - Matt - 11-08-2007

You said people were asking for a simple secure engine. He said MS isn't secure by default.

Anyways, I say you try it, if it fails, it fails. If it doesn't, it doesn't.

Re: MS Architect - Robin - 12-08-2007

I might just make a closed source engine with a few features, but mainly just letting the user have complete control over the game.

Such as seamless, scrolling or normal maps, NPC and Player size, tile size, amount of layers etc. etc.
