Re: Dark Knite Engine - DarkX - 24-05-2009 Ok I have now nearly finished my Gameloop code, and jumped the FPS a bit. FPS=303 from 90 this is with the same amount of players online, extra animations, and npc's on the map. 303 was the lowest I had aquired in a 10 minute test here's the image for proof ![]() I'll post more updates later on this week Re: Dark Knite Engine - Labmonkey - 24-05-2009 Give computer specs or your fps means nothing. If you have a really really crappy computer, then anything above 30 is good, if you have a newage computer with a super fast graphics card, then your going to have an extremely high fps. He used a lossy format for saving the screenshot, that's all. Re: Dark Knite Engine - DarkX - 27-05-2009 Well I test on the worst of my machines because when I got into internet gaming I was playing Diablo 2 and it didn't work to well on that amd K62 400+. So I remember that just because my better computer can run it fine doesn't mean that the ones who still have old computers will be able to. The better the FPS, the better your code. It's like saying you can work out really good and you can run the mile really fast, but hey if you go ahead and eat a Big Mac' and only run the mile a few seconds slower then why not? Just to let you know that M:RPGe was released WAY before Konfuze was even made, it was based off Mirage Source 3.0.3. And I'll have you know that it was the first publically released open source engine with additions not seen in other sources. It even had pets!
