Back to Mineral Town sucked.

So did your mum.

That was a typo, anyway. It's based off of Back to Nature.

They really have similar titles, confusing xD

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Egon - 03-09-2008

The tiles though.. They aren't isometric. So help me God I'm going to bitch and moan about every single little thing.

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Anthony - 03-09-2008

Friends of Mineral Town is basically the same as Back to Nature just a port for GBA isn't it?

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Robin - 03-09-2008

Yes, 'scept is has the most annoying controls ever. Having to open a fucking menu every time you want to use an item/tool.

Eurgh. The Playstation version is teh sex, and I'll be basing the programming on that.

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Anthony - 03-09-2008

Tight son.

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Matt - 03-09-2008

The GameCube versions were pretty good too.

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Mithlomion - 03-09-2008

Snes > ALL.

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Robin - 03-09-2008

I think it's all down to which version you played first xD

I played BTN first :3

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - William - 03-09-2008

I'm keenly interested in this project. I'm keeping my eye on it.

played it for days without sleeping on my snes

Why would you sleep on your snes?

To be honest, I haven't played any of them. Someone reccomend getting a ROM?

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Anthony - 03-09-2008

Do it. P

lay either the SNES one or Back to Nature for PSX. They aren't hard to find with Google and a decent torrent site.

Rephrase: "play it for days on my snes, without sleeping"

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Rory - 04-09-2008

I played the SNES Version then the GBC Version then the PSX Version then the GBA Version and then the DS Version, and then finally I stopped and played Rune Factory.

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Egon - 04-09-2008

The two best HM games were the SNES version and the N64 version. The PSX one was alright... The only good thing about the GC HM was the ending. The GB/DS versions are mostly the same. I AM THE HARVEST MOON MASTER.

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Robin - 04-09-2008

I didn't really get into the N64 version. I preferred the way the PSX handles those Iso gfx.

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Robin - 07-09-2008

Someone who claimed to be an experience game developer just came on and gave me some ideas for the game.

Quote:I would be cool if they had a Zoo with Monkeys, Bears, Tigers, Lions, Cheetahs, Zebras & Gariffs that you could ride at the zoo and you could work there and help for money and if you befriended the Zoo keeper he would give you a monkey.

Erm.. no.

I think I have a plot for my next game.

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Egon - 07-09-2008

Damn. Beat me to it.

Lol @ the idea.

Do the monkeys throw poo too?

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - renzozuken2002 - 09-09-2008

Game looks awesome, can't wait to play it
I loved the HM series and its great to see an online version being made Big Grin
Are you still taking ideas? If it hasn't been suggested already, what about having mini-games during the festivals, pit players against themselves in stuff like dog racing/horse racing, cooking contests and stuff like that and have special prizes like rare plant seeds and house accessories
and are you going to have marriage in the game? and if so how is it going to work? is there going to be a bunch of NPCs to court? or is there going to be player marriage?

sorry if I'm asking too many questions, i just really like HM Tongue

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Robin - 14-09-2008

'fraid not. Having to sort my website host out and knackered from college.

Once Rory gets done with the new players sprites I'll do some work on it.

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Anthony - 28-09-2008

*pulls out defibrillator*

/shock..

What's going on with this Robin? I want to play!

Re: Harvest Moon Speed Programming - Robin - 28-09-2008
