Re: MS.NET: VB.NET or C# - Jacob - 18-05-2009 Looks like we'll be doing C# for sure. Exadon and I are going to start planning out things. Whatever we come up, we'll post on the forums first for discussions. I dont like Relying on a Framework for my Applications. (Except SDL since SDL is ftw) Really, FreeBASIC is way faster than .NET ![]() (and since its based on QBASIC same as VB is then it's easier to port, Also Linux support ftw.) Re: MS.NET: VB.NET or C# - Pbcrazy - 04-06-2009 Oh, shut up! Gah, i don't know how many times i've heard you talk about how you hate .net languages, and everything should be in FreeBASIC. It's annoying as hell. People want to stick with a language that will continue to get support from the OS they are trying to get them to run on! /end mini rant Anyway, i vote C#, I want to be able to use XNA with it ![]() Re: MS.NET: VB.NET or C# - katcode - 04-06-2009 Pbcrazy Wrote:i don't know how many times i've heard you talk about how you hate .net languages, and everything should be in FreeBASIC. 27. ![]() Well i'm Biased and i'm openly discussing it. Hurray for me. Also.. Xbox Mirage games? Hmm.. That would be intresting.. Maybe if it was ported to C++ and i was Uber 1337(wich i'm not.) then i could have ported it to DS, wich probably only me and maybe 1 or 2 other people in the Community would ever get to use it ![]() So yeah, Port it to C# XNA so we get Official support on modern technologies. (VB6 and DirectDraw support are slowly dying IF YOU HAVENT NOTICED  ) Re: MS.NET: VB.NET or C# - Pbcrazy - 04-06-2009 Na i believe it's more like 39... ![]() anyway, i think being able to have mirage games on Xbox would be a major accomplishment. Not to mention make Mirage itself top of it's class. C# all the way! Re: MS.NET: VB.NET or C# - GIAKEN - 04-06-2009 You can use XNA with VB.Net. Re: MS.NET: VB.NET or C# - Pbcrazy - 04-06-2009 Doh -_- Re: MS.NET: VB.NET or C# - katcode - 05-06-2009 GIAKEN Wrote:You can use XNA with VB.Net. Of course you can, you can even use it in C++.NET and J# since theire all .NET, but you cant compile it for Xbox. Re: MS.NET: VB.NET or C# - Jacob - 05-06-2009 If you do a XNA community game on the XBOX, it CAN NOT connect to a central server hosted on a PC. |
